It’s a video of the Islamic State mujaheddin attacking an PKK/YPG (Kurdistan Workers’ Party and People’s Protection Units) outpost while advancing toward Kobane (Ayn al-Arab), a town in northern Syria.

In stark contrast to the rather embarrassing training camp video, this actual attack and storming of the Kurdish base shows the Islamic State soldiers as having their shit squared away. Everyone is shown taking well aimed shots, in short controlled bursts, everyone is staying focused on task, maintaining distance between each other during movement… It makes you wonder how anyone this competent could have gotten to that point with training as seen before.

Take a look at the soldier at 7:05 – he looks like he’s at most 15. So young and already a frontline pawn? Also – that goose and chickens at 2:06 – those are some brave motherfuckers. Completely unfazed by war.
